CM Scholarship Scheme

1. Applicability:

This scheme will only be applicable to students studying in government colleges. Under this scheme, students will be given a concession on the university fee charged by the university.

2. Scholarship Amount:

The scholarship amount will be for one year and will be proportional to the fee charged by the university.

3. Concession Based on Marks:

The concession in fees will be according to the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. This concession will continue until the student completes their course, provided that the percentage of concession in fees will be based on the percentage of marks obtained in the previous class. For example, if a student has obtained 60% marks in the 12th class, they will get a 60% fee concession in BA Part-1. If the student then obtains 70% marks in BA Part-1, they will get a 70% fee concession in BA Part-2.

4. University Level Concession:

The concession at the university level will be as follows:

(a) Students obtaining more than 60% and less than 70% marks will get a 70% concession in university fees.

(b) Students obtaining more than 70% and less than 80% marks will get an 80% concession in university fees.

(c) Students obtaining more than 80% and less than 90% marks will get a 90% concession in university fees.

(d) Students obtaining more than 90% and less than 100% marks will get a 100% concession in university fees.

5. Exclusive Eligibility:

The scholarship will be awarded only if the student is not receiving any other scholarship. If a student is receiving a scholarship from a state or central government scheme and the current scheme provides a higher benefit, the student will only be eligible for the difference between the current scheme’s benefit and the previous scholarship.

6. Pass Requirement:

This principle will apply only if the student passes all subjects in the examination. If a student fails any subject despite meeting the eligibility criteria based on marks obtained in other subjects, they will not be considered for the scholarship scheme.

7. Applicable Courses:

The scholarship scheme is applicable to students enrolled in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

8. Fee Concession at the Time of Payment:

The fee concession for beneficiary students will be applied at the time of fee payment by the university. For example, if a student has a 60% fee concession, they will only pay 40% of the university fee. The university will compile these claims and send them to the Higher Education Department, which will then release the appropriate funds from the treasury to the university for the respective students.
