Essential Guidelines for Student Discipline at College

Every student must strictly adhere to the essential guidelines related to college discipline. Any form of indiscipline will not be tolerated.

1. Identification and Study Materials:
Every student must carry their college identification card and study materials. Failure to do so may result in fines or removal from the college roll.

2. Notice Board:
It is in the students’ best interest to read the notice board daily, as all college communications are provided through it. Students are responsible for staying informed by checking the notice board regularly. The college authorities are not liable for any student missing out on important information due to negligence. Parents should also regularly check with teachers regarding their children’s attendance and discipline, as the college cannot send notifications by mail.

3.Discipline and Conduct:
Students must maintain complete discipline within the college and follow all guidelines related to moving through stairs, corridors, parks, and pathways. Strict action will be taken against those who violate these guidelines.

4. Dress Code:
Wearing caps with flaps and bandanas is strictly prohibited in the college. Violators will face disciplinary action.

5. Appropriate Attire:
Provocative and flashy attire is strictly forbidden in the college.

6. Classroom Conduct:
During free periods, boys and girls should sit separately in designated areas. It is prohibited to stand or loiter in hallways, corridors, near classrooms, or engage in conversations without purpose.

7. Furniture Usage:
It is prohibited to remove furniture from the classrooms and sit on it outside.

8. Posting Notices:
Students are strictly prohibited from posting any notices on the college notice board without written permission from the Principal or the Professor In-Charge. Any necessary notice can only be posted with such written authorization.

9. Mobile Phone Use:
Mobile phones must be kept switched off in the college. If a phone rings in class, or if students are found listening to music or using phones in the college campus, the phone will be confiscated, and disciplinary action, including fines, may be taken.

10. Firecrackers:
The use of firecrackers on the college campus is strictly prohibited. Violators will face disciplinary action and a fine of ₹500.

11. Unauthorized Visitors:
The presence of unauthorized persons (excluding parents) on the college campus is illegal. If a student is found with an unauthorized person, strict police action may be taken against both parties.

12. Anti-Ragging Policy:
As per the Honorable Supreme Court’s S.L.P. (C) No. 25295/2004, ragging is strictly prohibited. Ragging is a criminal offense and will result in severe punishment.

13. Sexual Harassment:
Sexual harassment is a punishable offense. Students sending obscene telephone calls, letters, posters, photographs, emails, or messages will be considered guilty of sexual harassment. Upon learning about such harassment or molestation, the college’s Women Safety Cell will investigate the case. If a student is found guilty of molestation or sexual harassment, the college administration may take the following actions:

  1. Written apology
  2. Conduct bond
  3. Ban on entering the college campus
  4. Police action
  5. Suspension for a specified period
